Cityview Church is committed to recognizing the church as a global body from “every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages” that will one day be united in eternal worship of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 7:9). We share in sufferings of the global church and rejoice with them in times of blessing. We embrace the command given by Jesus, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Mark 28:18-20).
We support local, national, and worldwide organizations and individuals serving to share the gospel message and Christ's teaching through the witness of their work, words, and lives across cultural, language, and geographic boundaries.
We do this by
· Educating our congregation on global issues, current events, biblical basis for mission work, individual reports and needs of those we support. The 1st Sunday of each month has a mission spotlight to learn more about those we support.
· Increasing our congregation’s participation in mission outreaches, both short-term and long-term.
. Promote giving to missions by the congregation and sending financial support to workers and organizations.
· Praying individually and stimulating congregational prayer for workers involved in mission work.
· Corresponding and providing care and encouragement to those we support.
We welcome your interest and involvement at any time with the Cityview Missions Committee. We meet monthly after service on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Please contact Linda Royce (612-462-1182) or Stephanie Schmit (612-823-7072), our Mission Committee Co-Chairs, if interested and to confirm meeting dates and location.
